They even scrawled on his privates and sketched Homer Simpson on his backside.

The chef scrubbed his face with a scouring pad before reporting for work in the kitchens of HMS Bulwark the next morning, only to find snaps of the attack were being circulated on Facebook and WhatsApp.

After a year junior rating Jamie, 23, of Doncaster, finally reported the incident to military police as a sexual assault.

He has now accepted an honourable discharge after suffering depression, anxiety and sleeplessness.

He said: “It was my boyhood dream to be in the Navy.”
